Winning at the Polls: Building Up Your Library's Win Margin Online
Both association and public libraries have the right to have annual votes on the tax levy for operating aid, and for the past two decades MHLS member libraries have won 97% of the time. But winning should never be taken for granted. Join Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, MHLS Executive Director and author of the Public Library Vote Toolbox to discuss the basics of preparing to win at the polls. From education of the community to getting out the yes vote, library boards and Friends Group are hugely influential. We want libraries to follow the letter of the law and be sure to build a culture of success around winning at the polls for years to come.
